INTRODUCTION

In Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 (SP1), when the Optional Component Manager (Sysocmgr.exe) does not find a component .inf file that is specified in the master file, Sysocmgr.exe ignores the component. Then, Sysocmgr.exe tries to load the next component that is specified in the master file. When Sysocmgr.exe ignores the component, you receive no error message.
