INTRODUCTION

Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 may not perform as expected if you install Commerce Server 2002 on a supported operating system that is running on a virtual machine. Commerce Server 2002 has not been tested on operating systems that are running on virtual machines.

Product support for Commerce Server 2002 is provided as commercially reasonable support. This is true when Commerce Server 2002 is installed on a supported operating system that is running on a virtual machine. If you have a problem with Commerce Server 2002 when it is running on a virtual machine, and the problem cannot be resolved through the commercially reasonable support of Microsoft Product Support Services, you must do the following. You must be able to reproduce the problem on Commerce Server 2002 when it is installed on a supported operating system. The supported operating system is not running on a virtual machine. You have to do this for the problem to be escalated to the Commerce Server group as a bug.

Note Commercially reasonable support is all reasonable support efforts by Microsoft Product Support Services that do not require Commerce Server 2002 code fixes.
