The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server

SYMPTOMS

When you print documents to a Microsoft Windows 2000-based print server, text in the documents is printed in an incorrect font. You experience this symptom when you print a very large number of documents at a time. For example, you experience this symptom when you print 80,000 documents at a time.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if the printer device context reuses the handle value of a font. In that case, the handle value of the current font and the handle value of the previous font are the same even though the fonts are different.
