Filtered items in an OWC that is connected to an SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services database are not filtered when you export the data to Excel (884405)

SYMPTOMS

When you filter items in a Microsoft Office Web Component (OWC) that is connected to a Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services database, the filtered items are not filtered when you export the data to Microsoft Excel.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Excel does not permit filtering of items that are not visible in an OWC Pivot Table.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, expand the filtered data before you export the OWC data to Excel.
