To download the SnapShots Application Sharing and View Sharing plug-in, visit the following Microsoft Web site: After you download the SnapShots Application Sharing and View Sharing plug-in, extract the Unpack installer to your working directory.

Before you install the plug-in, determine the location of the Netscape plug-ins directory. The location of the plug-ins directory varies, depending on the version and build of Netscape that you have installed on your workstation. The plug-ins directory will be a subdirectory of your Netscape installation.

Global installation

For a global installation of Netscape, locate one of the following directories:

• /opt/NSPCcom/plugins
• /usr/dt/bin/netscape/plugins
• /usr/local/bin/netscape/plugins
• /opt/netscape/plugins

User installation

For a user installation of Netscape, locate the following directory:

• $HOME/.netcape/plugins

If the Netscape plug-ins directory is not in one of the previous directories, contact your IT department for help.

After you have determined the location of the Netscape plug-ins directory, run the Unpack installer to install the SnapShots Application Sharing and View Sharing plug-in. After you have installed the SnapShots Application Sharing and View Sharing plug-in, the following files will be present in your user directory:

• $HOME/.netscape/plugins/placeware/capture/pwsnap.zip
• $HOME/.netscape/plugins/placeware/capture/libpwsnapns.so
• $HOME/.netscape/placeware/capture/pwsnap

The following is an example of the files that are present after you perform a global installation of the SnapShots Application Sharing and View Sharing plug-in to a global Netscape directory:

• /usr/local/lib/netscape/plugins/placeware/capture/pwsnap.zip
