SYMPTOMSWhen you use a script to generate an event message in Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005, the following event may be logged in Alerts in the MOM Operator Console:Severity: Error
Resolution State: New Source: Microsoft Operations Manager Name: A script failed to set the value of an alert property Description: An error occurred while executing script 'ScriptName'. The maximum length (3500) of field Event Message has been exceeded. Automatically truncating.CAUSEThis behavior occurs if the maximum size of the event message's database field is exceeded. The database field is limited to 3500 characters.STATUS
This behavior is by design.
