The Start Page of the IDE appears to be incomplete in Visual Studio 2005 or in Visual Studio .NET (873309)

SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 or Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, the Start Page (Vs:/Default.htm) of the IDE appears to be incomplete. This problem occurs on computers that have Microsoft Windows Script 5.1 installed. The Start Page contains only the My Profile link in the left pane.

CAUSE

Windows Script 5.1 does not fully support the contents of the Default.htm file.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Windows Script 5.6. To download Windows Script 5.6, visit the following Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) Web site:
