  • Microsoft Office Live Meeting

SYMPTOMS

When a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation is displayed by a presenter in Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2003, some meeting participants may have to scroll down or to the right to view the whole slide.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the meeting participants have their screen resolution set to 800 x 600 pixels.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, the participants must set the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Control Panel, and then click Appearance and Themes.
  2. In Appearance and Themes window, click Change the screen resolution.
  3. On the Settings tab, change the resolution to 1024 X 768 pixels under Screen resolution, and then click OK.

If the participants who are in a group cannot change the resolution, the participants must export the PowerPoint slide by using the PlaceWare Add-in for PowerPoint, and then select a smaller slide size. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to PlaceWare Add-in for PowerPoint, and then click your presentation.
  2. On the File menu, click Open, click your presentation, and then click Open.
  3. On the PlaceWare menu, click Export as a PlaceWare Slide Set.
  4. In the Export as a PlaceWare Slide Set dialog box, select the folder in the Save in box where you want to save the presentation.
  5. In the File name box, type the name of the presentation.
  6. In the Save as type box, click PlaceWare v2-3 (480x360) slides (*.pwp).
  7. In the Export Successful window, click Copy and Dismiss if you want to copy the file name to the clipboard for pasting in the upload page, or click Dismiss if you do not want to copy the file name.
