A Panasonic DVCPRO50 video tape recorder is not enumerated when it is connected to a Windows XP-based computer (873178)

SYMPTOMS

When a Panasonic DVCPRO50 video tape recorder is connected to a Texas Instruments 1394 host controller or to a VIA Technologies host controller on a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, the Panasonic DVCPRO50 video tape recorder is not correctly enumerated when you turn the power switch on for the Panasonic DVCPRO50 video tape recorder.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, disconnect the Panasonic DVCPRO50 video tape recorder from the host controller on the Windows XP-based computer. Then, connect the video tape recorder to the host controller while the Panasonic DVCPRO50 power switch is turned on.
