FIX: Access point re-authentication with WPA-PEAP may cause a memory leak (867779)

SYMPTOMS

When re-authentication to a wireless access point is performed by using the Wi-Fi Protected Access-Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol (WPA-PEAP) authentication, memory may be permanently consumed. This problem may eventually lead to degradation of performance or system instability. Re-authentication may occur after access point requests on pre-configured intervals.

RESOLUTION

Software update information

Prerequisites

This update is supported only if all previously issued updates for this product have also been installed.

Restart requirement

After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole operating system. To clean the operating system, follow these steps:
  1. On the Build menu, click Clean.
  2. On the Build menu, click Build Platform.
You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this update.

This update does not replace any other updates.
