This article was previously published under Q85310

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Works version 2.0 for Windows, if you print continuously fed labels on the Panasonic KX-P1124 printer with the Windows 3.1 universal printer driver, gaps may appear between pages of labels if the printer's skip perforation function is set to "ON."

MORE INFORMATION

Even if the top and bottom margins are set to zero in the Works document, a 1-inch margin will be included on the printout if the skip perforation function for this printer is set to "ON." The function panel of the printer must be used to set this function to "OFF."

The front panel of the printer has the following arrangement:
             Col1 Col2 Col3 Col4 Col5 Col6
[LED] [LED] [LED] [LED] [LED] [LED]
Row1 [LED]
Row3 [LED]
Row5 [LED]

To set the skip perforation function on the Panasonic KX-P1124, use the following steps:

  1. Enter the Initial Setup mode by pressing the FUNCTION button while powering on the printer.
  2. Press the ROW button until Row5 is lit (next to the word "OTHERS").
  3. Press the COLUMN button until the Col3 is lit (above the word "PRESTIGE").
  4. If Col3 is lit and unblinking, press the SET button. Col3 is now a blinking light. The SET button is a toggle (ON = lit and OFF = blinking).
  5. Press the FUNCTION button to save these changes and return to the online condition.
Note: To print a list of the current printer settings on this printer, repeat step 1, press the ROW button until all three row lights are lit, then press the SET button.
