FIX: A BizTalk Server serializer outputs incorrect delimiters (842673)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002, when XML data that you want to serialize have some empty elements and when the delimiters are Postfix order, the flat file output from a BizTalk serializer may have some delimiters in incorrect positions..

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.

After you install this hotfix, you must add the SerializerFlushParentDelimsBeforeWritingPostfixDelims DWORD registry value under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ CurrentControlSet\Services\BTSSVC\ registry key. Set the DWORD value to 1, and then restart the BizTalk Server Messaging service.
