SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You have a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer that has no hard disk, but the computer has a RAID drive that is not configured. When you start the computer by using the Microsoft Windows Preinstallation Environment (PE) CD, and then you run the Diskpart.exe tool, the tool does not run. You receive an error message that is similar to the following error message:
The disk management services could not complete the operation.

RESOLUTION
