Issues that are fixed in the hotfix package

The following issues are fixed in this hotfix package:
  • 839632 Finish date of project plan may change in Project 2003

  • 839636 Assignment delays change the Finish date of a project plan in Project 2003

The following issue is also fixed in this hotfix package, but was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
  • When a Project plan contains custom fields that have formulas and groupings, Project 2003 may quit unexpectedly (crash) and you receive the following error message when you try to reopen the Project plan or when you try to insert a custom field in a view:
    Microsoft Project has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    Please tell Microsoft about this problem.
