FIX: The IntelliSense feature stops working when you add rows to a table in Visual Studio .NET 2003 (839476)

SYMPTOMS

In the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 IDE, the Microsoft IntelliSense feature stops working for classes that the XML Schema Designer generated.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because a bug exists in the IntelliSense feature of the IDE. After the XML Schema Designer generates the class, if you continue to add rows to a table definition in the XML Schema Designer, the IntelliSense data for that class becomes corrupted.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Visual Studio .NET 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.
