SYMPTOMS

You have a domain that has an uppercase domain name and that uses the Kerberos authentication protocol. When you try to create a new Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based member server in this domain, the Domain Name System (DNS) update may fail on the new member server.

This problem may occur when there is a Lucent Technologies QIP server in the domain.
