SYMPTOMS

When you are playing the Marias Pass scenario in Microsoft Train Simulator 1.0, the cars may uncouple from the train.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if there are issues with your computer's video card.

RESOLUTION

Method 1: Install the Microsoft Train Simulator update

An update has been created to resolve issues with several video cards. To download and install the update, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Method 2: Turn off all options in the Train Simulator Troubleshooter

You may be able to work around this issue by using the Train Simulator Troubleshooter. To do so, follow these steps:
  1. Quit Train Simulator 1.0.
  2. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Games, point to Train Simulator, and then click Train Simulator Troubleshooter.
  3. Click Troubleshooting.
  4. Click to select each check box.
  5. Quit the Train Simulator Troubleshooter.
If this resolves the issue, go back to the Troubleshooter, and then turn on the options one at a time until you find the option that prevented this issue.
