The BizTalk Adapter for FTP 1.0 is not supported to run as a clustered resource in a Cluster service cluster group (838187)

SYMPTOMS

If you configure the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for FTP version 1.0 as a clustered resource in a Cluster service cluster group, you may experience data loss when you use the BizTalk Adapter for FTP to process documents.

CAUSE

The BizTalk Adapter for FTP has never been tested for use as a clustered resource in a Cluster service cluster group.

RESOLUTION

Do not configure the BizTalk Adapter for FTP to run as a clustered resource in a Cluster service cluster group. Running the BizTalk Adapter for FTP as a clustered resource in a Cluster service cluster group is not a supported configuration.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
