SYMPTOMS

A handle leak occurs when you monitor the Routing and Remote Access service by using the Routing and Remote Access console on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer. The handle leak occurs when the Auto Refresh option is enabled. This leak may exhaust system resources and cause the system to stop responding. If you run the Perfmon.exe utility to monitor the Handle Count performance counter for the Regsvc instance, the value of the performance counter grows endlessly.
