The start date of the Korean and Japanese Lunar Year is not correct

The Outlook 2002 Calendar incorrectly shows the start of the Korean and Japanese Lunar Year for 2006 to be January 28 and for 2016 to be February 8. The correct dates for the start of the Lunar Year are January 1, 2006 and February 9, 2016.

The location is not saved in the most recently used list

When you create a new Calendar appointment in Outlook 2002, the last location that you used for another appointment may not be in the most recently used list for the Location list box.

Outlook 2002 downloads duplicate e-mail messages from a POP mail server

When you check for new messages or let Outlook 2002 automatically check for new messages from a POP mail server, Outlook may download the same message several times from the POP mail server. This problem occurs even if you have clicked to clear the Leave message on server check box.

How to control the "Unable to Update Public Free/Busy Data" dialog box

When Outlook tries to update your published free/busy information from your Outlook Calendar, you may receive the following error message:

Unable to update public free/busy data.

Note This symptom may occur in some rare circumstances when you experience network issues.

Word is not your e-mail editor when you add a custom user property to an e-mail message in Outlook

If you add a custom user property to an e-mail message in Microsoft Outlook 2002, Microsoft Word no longer starts as your default e-mail editor when you try to forward or to reply to the modified e-mail message.

Note This problem occurs in both Rich Text Format (RTF) and HTML formatted e-mail messages.

You receive a script error message when you try to view your Hotmail Web page

When you try to view your Hotmail Web page by using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you may receive the following error message:

Outlook 2002 does not prompt you to send a receipt for deleted e-mail

When you empty your Deleted Items folder, any POP mail account messages that have a Read receipt sends a Not Read receipt without prompting you to approve sending the receipt. This issue does not occur if you click to clear the Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items' check box.

Accessing the Exchange user account from a secure form still prompts you with the Outlook security dialog box

If you use a form that uses Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) to automatically approve access to your Exchange account, when you try to access your user account, you are still prompted to approve access to your account.

If you remove the Nortel encryption on a message, the message becomes blank

When you have a message in a personal folders (.pst) file that encrypted and signed with a Nortel certificate, and then you remove the encryption but leave the message signed, the body of the message becomes blank.

You receive the "Cannot copy the items" error message when you drag a message to a new folder

When you drag a message from one folder to another folder on an IMAP server, you may receive the following error message:

Cannot copy the items. The server responded:
'Error in IMAP command received by the server.'

You receive the "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook" error message when you try to open an Outlook 2002 file

When you try to open an Outlook 2002 file on a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, you may receive the following error message:

Outlook 2002 sends a Read receipt without prompting you first

When you receive a new message with a Read receipt request, Outlook 2002 sends a Read receipt with out prompting you first. This issue occurs if you have E-mail Option setting Display a notification message when new mail arrives selected.

Run-time error message 1406 when you create an application that tries to set the AssistantTelephoneNumber property of a ContactItem object

When you create an application that tries to set the AssistantTelephoneNumber property of a ContactItem object, you may receive the following runt-time error message:

You can pass duplicate parameters to Outlook.exe

You can pass duplicate command line parameters to Outlook.exe.

Only the first occurrence of a recurring meeting appears in the calendar

If you forward several single occurrences of a recurring meeting, only the earliest occurrence of this meeting appears in the calendar of the recipient of the forwarded occurrences.

You receive an error message in Outlook 2002
