You cannot start an Image Viewer slide show (835850)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows CE .NET 4.2

SYMPTOMS

You cannot use either of the following methods to start Image Viewer slide shows:
  • Run the Imageviewer.exe program by using a command that specifies the /s switch.
  • Associate the .wss file name extension with the Image Viewer program, and then open the slide show document.
If you try to use either of these methods, you may receive the following error message:
Failed to load the slide show settings file.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem and to display a slide show, start the Image Viewer program, and then open a slide show document.

RESOLUTION

Fix Information

Prerequisites

This fix is supported only when all previously issued fixes for this product have also been installed.

Restart Requirement

After you install this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To clean the platform, click Clean on the Build menu. To build the platform, click Build Platform on the Build menu.

You do not have to restart your computer after you apply this fix.
