FIX: When using the Microsoft Decision Support Objects (DSO) library to perform a processReaggregate operation on a cube the SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services service may shutdown and then restart (834837)

SYMPTOMS

When using the Microsoft Decision Support Objects (DSO) library to perform a processReaggregate operation on a cube or during an automatic reaggregation operation also known as a lazy aggregation the SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services service may shutdown and then restart.

Note A lazy aggregation is triggered by an incremental update to a changing dimension.

If automatic error reporting is enabled for Analysis Server, there may be an entry in the application event log indicating that the error reporting process returned a bucket ID of 72221782 for the shutdown.

RESOLUTION

Service pack information
