The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Systems Management Server 2.0

SYMPTOMS

If you configure your Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2.0 site to create logon points in more than one domain, the SMS NT Logon Server Manager component may not be able to update the logon points in any one of the domains. The following message is logged in the Nt_logon.log file (\SMS\Logs\nt_logon.log):
Warning Unable to get sole access to domain skipping

CAUSE

This problem may occur when either of the following conditions is true:
  • The site system connection account or the SMS service account does not have the required permissions to the \SMSLOGON\SITESCFG folder on the SMS logon point computer.
  • The Nt_logon.tok file was created in the \SMSLOGON\SITESCFG folder on the logon point, but the file is locked by another process.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, make sure the site system connection account or the SMS service account has permissions to create and to delete the Nt_logon.tok file in the \SMSLOGON\SITESCFG folder on the logon points.
