PRB: Disconnected TCP session after chunked transfer response in IIS 6.0 (834027)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Internet Information Services version 6.0

SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 disconnects a TCP session after a response when the Response.Buffer property is set to False in Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) even if a Connection: Keep-Alive header is specified. This could cause unnecessary overhead for network traffic especially when Integrated Windows authentication is enabled.
