SYMPTOMS
When you use Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook, you may receive the following warning message:
A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow this?
If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose "No".
You may receive this warning message when you try to do one of the following tasks in the Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook client:
- Start Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook.
- Create a new Microsoft CRM contact.
- Create a new Microsoft CRM appointment.
- Create a new Microsoft CRM task.
- Send a Microsoft CRM e-mail message.
- Promote an e-mail message.
If you click
Yes in the dialog box, you can continue. You may have to click
Yes several times.
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. Microsoft has released the Microsoft Office Outlook 2002 post-Service Pack 3 hotfix package for Outlook 2002. It is only intended to correct the problems that are described in this article and in Microsoft Knowledge Base article
829346. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Office XP service pack that contains this hotfix.
