  • Microsoft Office Word 2003
  • Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Proposals

SYMPTOMS

When you type, paste, or move text into an assigned section in your Microsoft Office Solution Accelerator for Proposals document in Microsoft Office Word 2003, the section color of the assigned section may not automatically extend into the text that you added to the section.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the text that you type, paste, or move into an assigned section is added outside the assigned section boundaries.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.

Method 1: Toggle the "Highlight sections in document" option

To toggle the Highlight sections in document option, follow these steps:
  1. On the Document Actions task pane, click Sections.
  2. In the Sections area of the Document Actions task pane, click to clear the Highlight sections in document check box.
  3. Click to select the Highlight sections in document check box.

Method 2: Show section boundaries

To show section boundaries of an assigned section, follow these steps:
  1. On the Document Actions task pane, click Options and Help.
  2. In the Options area, click Toggle XML tags to turn the XML tags on in your Accelerator for Proposals document.
Section boundaries in your assigned section will show as large square brackets--for example, [The quick brown fox] . When you type, paste, or move text into an assigned section, make sure that the text is typed or pasted inside the section boundaries.
