Cannot use the IMPORTARDATOSDINAMICOS function in the Spanish version of Excel 2002 (832342)

SYMPTOMS

In the Spanish version of Microsoft Excel 2002, when you click OK (Acceptar in Spanish) to use the GetPivotData (IMPORTARDATOSDINAMICOS) function, the Insert Function dialog box closes and the Function Arguments dialog box does not appear.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. In your Excel 2002 worksheet, click the cell where you want the information to appear.
  2. Type =.
  3. Click the cell of your pivot table that contains the data that you want.
  4. Press ENTER.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.

To start the GetPivotData function, follow these steps:
  1. Open your workbook in Excel 2002.
  2. On the Insert menu, click Function.
  3. In the Insert Function dialog box, change the Or select a category box to All.
  4. In the Select a function list box, click GETPIVOTDATA (IMPORTARDATOSDINAMICOS in Spanish).
  5. Click OK (Acceptar in Spanish).
