EPG Importer May Not Succeed if WinZip Is Not Set Up Correctly (831097)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft TV IPG 1.5

SYMPTOMS

Microsoft TV Interactive Program Guide (IPG) contains a process for importing the electronic program guide (EPG) data from Tribune Media Services (TMS) (or from any other data provider). During this process, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is used to download compressed data files (.zip) to a local repository. In the repository, the compressed data files are extracted by using the WinZip Computing, Inc. WinZip program. This process may not succeed and the files may not be extracted.

CAUSE

After you install WinZip, you must run the WinZip Setup wizard to correctly set up the program. If you do not run the WinZip Setup wizard, WinZip will not run.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Install WinZip.
  2. Log on to the computer by using the credentials that are assigned to SQL Server Agent.
  3. Run the WinZip Setup wizard.
