Text is positioned incorrectly in an AutoCAD drawing when you rotate and align text in Visio 2003 (830198)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2003
- Microsoft Office Visio Standard 2003
SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Office Visio 2003, if you rotate a shape that
contains text and you also change the alignment of the text, after you save the
file as an AutoCAD drawing (.dwg file) and then reopen it, you notice that the
text is positioned incorrectly. The text is no longer in the same position as
before you saved the file, and frequently appears outside the shape.
CAUSEThis problem occurs when you save your Visio 2003 file that
contains text that has been rotated and aligned, as an AutoCAD drawing (.dwg
file). When you save your Visio 2003 diagram as a .dwg file, the angle of the
rotated text is calculated before the text position is adjusted based on the
alignment, causing the text to appear in an incorrect position.RESOLUTIONService pack informationThis problem is corrected in Microsoft Office Visio 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2).
