Keyboards shortcuts do not always work with the CTRL key in Visio 2003 Setup (829775)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2003
  • Microsoft Office Visio Standard 2003, when used with:
    • the operating system: Microsoft Windows 2000
    • the operating system: Microsoft Windows XP

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the CTRL key with a keyboard accelerator in Microsoft Office Visio 2003 Setup, the keyboard accelerator may not function consistently on a computer that has Microsoft Windows 2000 installed and may not function at all on computer that has Microsoft Windows XP installed. For example, when you type CTRL + N to advance Setup to the NEXT step in the installation, this keyboard accelerator may not function as you expect.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use the ALT key to assign accelerator keys to your keyboard in Visio 2003.
