If the e-mail tracking feature is disabled, you can still receive e-mail messages in the Microsoft CRM 1.0 system as Microsoft CRM activities. To do this, use one of the following methods:
  • In Microsoft CRM Sales for Outlook (the Outlook client), click Promote to CRM Activity to convert individual e-mail messages into Microsoft CRM activities.
  • In the Outlook client, configure the system to accept all e-mail messages that are received as Microsoft CRM activities. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. In the Outlook client, click Tools, click Options, and then click the Activities tab.
    2. Click to select the All incoming e-mail (Requires additional configuration on the server.) check box to accept all e-mail messages that are received as Microsoft CRM activities.
Note When you accept all e-mail messages that are received as Microsoft CRM activities, unsolicited e-mail messages are accepted into the Microsoft CRM system.
