This article discusses a documentation error that occurs in the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard when you configure Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 in the following scenario:
  • You install Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000.
  • You permit signed certificates from users.

When you click the here link on the Completing the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard page of the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard, information that describes the ports that Small Business Server 2003 opens appears under FIREWALL CONFIGURATION SUMMARY. However, for the scenario that is described in the "Symptoms" section of this article, this information is not complete. In the scenario that is described in the "Symptoms" section of this article, Small Business Server 2003 must open port 80 for outbound traffic. This is to permit Small Business Server 2003 to validate the user certificate. This port information does not appear in the FIREWALL CONFIGURATION SUMMARY area of the configuration information.
