Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 Reports for Exchange 2000 and Exchange 5.5 Computer Groups Include Non-Exchange Servers (828782)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Operations Manager 2000, when used with:
    • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Enterprise Server
    • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
    • Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5

SYMPTOMS

In the Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2000 Reporting console, if you select a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server or a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 report, the Criteria for selected report pane may include servers that do not have Exchange installed.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the Microsoft Access (MS Access) query adds servers from the Microsoft Internet Information Services (MIIS) 5.0 Servers computer group that do not have Exchange installed to the list of computers that is in the Criteria for select report pane.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
