Windows XP theme is not applied to the vertical scroll bar when you click a comment tag in your drawing in Visio 2003 (827235)

SYMPTOMS

When you view a comment that is inserted in your Visio 2003 drawing after you configure a desktop theme on your Microsoft Windows XP-based computer, the vertical scroll bar that is displayed in the comment box appears different depending on the method that you use to open the comment. You experience the following symptoms:

When you double-click the comment tag to view the comment, the desktop theme that you configured is applied to the vertical scroll bar.
When you click the comment tag to view the comment, the desktop theme that you configured is not applied to the vertical scroll bar. The vertical scroll bar uses the Windows Classic theme.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you configure your desktop to use a theme other than the Windows Classic theme. When you click the comment tag to view a comment in your drawing, Visio does not apply the desktop theme that you configured on your computer to the vertical scroll bar in the comment box.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, double-click a comment tag in your Visio drawing to view the comment.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
