You cannot log on to a Windows 2000-based server through an RPC connection (827087)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to log on to a Microsoft Windows 2000-based server through a remote procedure call (RPC) connection, you may receive the following error message:
Access Denied
CAUSEThis problem occurs when you try to make an RPC connection through named pipes, and the named pipe endpoints are dynamic. When Windows 2000 finds a dynamic endpoint, Windows 2000 looks for other dynamic endpoints in the same process and reuses them. However, Windows 2000 does not check to see if the security descriptor for the reused endpoint matches the security descriptor for the original endpoint. If they do not match, you cannot log on to the server through the RPC connection.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
