MORE INFORMATION

Virtual PC does not support FireWire technology directly through emulation of the FireWire hardware. However, you can access a FireWire-connected hard disk by using the Virtual PC Shared Folders feature.

To turn on the Shared Folders feature, follow these steps:
  1. Click Drives, and then click Share Folder.
  2. Click the drive that you want to use.
  3. If you want to always share this drive, click to select the Share every time check box.
  4. Select a drive letter for this drive (the default is Z), and then click Share.
