XmlPlaceholder.ManageCmsURL Property Does Not Function as Expected (824476)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the ManageCmsUrls property of the XmlPlaceholderDefinition class in the Microsoft.ContentManagement.Publishing.Extensions.Placeholders namespace, the URL is not managed in Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) format even if you set the property to True or to False.

CAUSE

MCMS 2002 ignores the setting of the ManageCmsUrls property.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install MCMS 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP1).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
