The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server

SYMPTOMS

On a heavily-loaded Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server computer that is installed in a clustered environment, the information store process (Store.exe) may quit unexpectedly. When the information store process quits, a Dr. Watson error and a log dump file are generated.

This problem occurs because of an access violation that occurs in the Store.exe process. This problem may occur on a heavily-loaded Exchange 2000 computer in a clustered environment. This problem occurs when one thread releases a logon object, and another thread tries to access that logon object at the same time.
