You cannot adjust the settings in the Page Setup dialog box in OneNote 2003 (822514)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office OneNote 2003
- Microsoft Office OneNote 2003, Service Pack 1 (SP1)
SYMPTOMSWhen you try to adjust the settings in the Page
Setup dialog box of Microsoft OneNote 2003, you may see that the
settings in the Page Setup dialog box are unavailable
(dimmed). CAUSEThis issue occurs because OneNote is configured to use the
page size setting "Auto". This means that OneNote adjusts the page size based
on your content. This automated size may not match the size that you want for
your document.WORKAROUNDYou can change the setting from "Auto" to the size that you
want for your document (for example, "Letter"). Doing so disables the default
configuration and you can make changes to the Page Setup configuration of your
document. Note Replacing the Page Size "Auto" with another value changes the
behavior of OneNote. When you switch to fixed sized pages, the page is resized
on the screen and you will see gray areas to represent the area off the page.
To change the page size setting, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click Page
Setup.
- On the Page Setup dialog box, in the
Page Size drop-down menu, click a page size other than
Auto.
- Click to close each of the Page Setup
dialog boxes.
Your changes are saved upon closing.
