Group Policy Support for 802.11 and 802.1x Added in Windows XP Service Pack 1 (821978)

SYMPTOMS

You cannot configure Group Policy for wireless networks (IEEE 802.11x) in Windows XP.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Windows XP does not include Group Policy support for 802.11x. Group Policy support for 802.11x was added to Windows XP in Windows XP Service Pack 1.

RESOLUTION
