Attachment placeholder does not appear in printed HTML e-mail messages (821840)

SYMPTOMS

When you print an HTML e-mail message that contains one or more attachments, there are no placeholders for the attachments in the printed message.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, change the format of the message to either plain text or Rich Text Format before you print the message. To change the format of a received message:
  1. Open the message.
  2. On the Format menu, click either Plain Text or Rich Text.

    If the message is in HTML format, you must first click Edit message on the Edit menu.

Note You can use Outlook system policy to mandate that all internal e-mail messages be created by using plain text or Rich Text Format.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 1.
