In this session we will discuss various aspects of the log shipping component of SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition. We will examine the following aspects of SQL Server log shipping: setup, monitoring, modifying parameters, security configuration, cross-domain log shipping considerations, and role change.

This is a Level 200 session that will be presented by Pankaj Agarwal. Pankaj Agarwal joined Microsoft Product Support Services in December 1999 as a SQL Server support professional. Pankaj has been supporting SQL Server 6.5, SQL Server 7.0, and SQL Server 2000 for over three years. In this time Pankaj has written knowledge base articles and the backup and restore white paper. Pankaj is considered a subject matter expert on log shipping in SQL Server 2000. Before joining Microsoft, Pankaj worked as Visual Basic/SQL developer at various financial and document management firms in Australia.
