The date and time in the Modified field do not change when you delete an item in Outlook 2003 (821682)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, when you move an item to the Deleted Items folder, the date and time in the Modified box does not change to the date and time when you made the move.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because when an item is moved, it is not changed. The date and time in the Modified box are updated only if the item has been changed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
