SYMPTOMSIf you use Microsoft Directory Service Synchronization (MSDSS) to migrate the whole directory tree from Novell Directory Services (NDS) to Active Directory directory service, you receive the following error message: ADDFailedObject: Failed Opening Parent CAUSEThis problem occurs if NDS contains an organizational unit that has an object
class attribute Partition, instead of Organizational Unit.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install Microsoft Windows Services for NetWare 5.02 Service Pack 2.
