Windows 2000 Resource Kit Deployment Tools Updates That Are Included in Windows 2000 SP4 (820196)

Windows 2000 SP4 includes updates to the following Deployment Tools:

• Sysprep.exe
• Setupcl.exe

The Windows 2000 Resource Kit Deployment Tools are not automatically installed when you install Windows 2000 SP4. The updated Deployment Tools are available in the Support\Tools\Deploy.cab file on the Windows 2000 SP4 CD-ROM. To download this file, visit the following Microsoft Web site: Important Do not run these tools on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server without first consulting your Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).

The Windows 2000 Resource Kit Deployment Tools Help file (Deploy.chm) provides a description of each file and its associated syntax, sample output, and notes. Deploy.chm is located in the Deploy.cab file. See Deploy.chm to obtain specific usage information for these tools. For additional help, type ToolName /help at the command prompt (where ToolName is the name of the tool for which you want help). To update these tools, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000.
