If you are running Novell NetWare, IPX version 3.1 is required for Microsoft Windows operating system version 3.1 to run in 386 enhanced mode. The object file for IPX 3.1 is available on the Windows 3.1 distribution disks.

MORE INFORMATION

IPX version 3.1 is required to run with VIPX.386 to successfully virtualize IPX and SPX calls across multiple virtual MS-DOS machines.

The changes from IPX 3.0x to 3.1 do not affect Novell's NetBIOS or MS- DOS applications making NetBIOS calls.
