SYMPTOMS

When you visit a Web page that contains Japanese characters and you use the letter-spacing attribute with an HTML element (for example, SPAN or INPUT TYPE="TEXT"), a full-width space character (U+0x3000) may cause incorrect character spacing, as in the following example:

<SPAN STYLE="letter-spacing: 20pt;">??????</SPAN>
<SPAN STYLE="letter-spacing: 20pt;">??????</SPAN>

Note The first line of text contains a full-width space character. The second line does not.
