SYMPTOMS
After the computer resumes from being in stand by mode, the audio level of the
right channel on a USB audio device may not be restored to the correct value.
To reproduce the problem, follow these steps:
- Set the volume level of both the right channel and the left channel to zero by using
the Sndvol32.exe mixer tool.
- Put the computer in Stand by mode. To do this, click Start, click Shut Down, and then click Stand
by.
- Resume the computer.
- Play some audio content.
The right channel is at full volume. The left channel is silent as expected.
