After you install Microsoft Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) on a Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based computer, when you view the properties of a network connection, the IPv6 protocol is listed as Microsoft IPv6 Developer Edition on the list of installed network components.

  5. In the Select Network Component Type dialog box, click Protocol, and then click Add.
  6. In the Select Network Protocol dialog box, click Microsoft IPv6 Developer Edition, and then click OK.
  7. Click Close.
