SUMMARY

This article describes how to troubleshoot feedback, static, or noise in an Xbox Communicator.

MORE INFORMATION

If you experience feedback, static, or other issues when you use the Xbox Communicator, try the following recommendations:
  • Plug the Xbox Communicator in the Xbox controller, turn on the Xbox console, unplug the controller from the console, and then plug the controller back in the console.
  • For static noise issues, turn down the Xbox Communicator volume. Speaker sounds can cause feedback in the microphone.
  • Do not use an extension cable with the Xbox controller. The Xbox video game system does not support the use of extension cables with Xbox controllers or Xbox Communicators because extension cables are known to cause some interference problems.
